tldr: I am retired and looking for gamers who speak English or are patient with someone who speaks German as a second language.
I am a retired operations manager from the USA. I was stationed in Wildflecken while I was in the army from 86 - 90. I met my wife, Susanne, in Bad Brückenau and we lived in Hassenbach.
We are moving to Münnerstadt, my wife's hometown, sometime in 2022, to be closer to our family. My oldest son Jojo, who is developmentally disabled, will be with us. We had two kids while in Germany, and my youngest was born in Lawrenceville, Georgia, where we have lived for the last 30 years.
I like many types of games, but I tend to enjoy longer and heavier games like 18xx, Splotter, 4x, economic, and Civ games the most. I can travel to meet people, and I hope to be able to host games at some point. I like to socialize and have a beer or two, or a fine Kentucky bourbon, when gaming, and I enjoy gaming with people of all ages, backgrounds, and orientations. I have learned a lot from our diverse group of local gamers here in the states. My current game group is the Gwinnett Board Game Society on meetup.com and I am username "slickdog" on BGG.
